Student Learning Outcomes and Performance Indicators

The General Education Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) describe the knowledge, skills and attitudes that students are expected to acquire while completing General Education courses at the University of Florida. The SLOs fall into three areas: content, communication and critical thinking. Every General Education course must address all three SLOs.

The General Education Performance Indicators are actions the student should be able to perform as a result of completion of the General Education program. By focusing on specific expectations of the program, the performance indicators facilitate general education course and program assessment procedures.
